Westminster Motor Insurance Association was born out of the licensed Hire and Reward Trade 60 years ago. Created by taxi drivers, the aim was to satisfy the unique insurance needs of our customers ranging from fleet taxi insurance, through to hackney carriage insurance and private hire insurance.
Westminster Insurance prides itself on its one to one experience with customers. Our unique Agency network allows us to cut out the call centers and enables clients to deal with a familiar voice or face.

Tradex Insurance Company Ltd were founded in 1995. Tradex specialises in the Motor Trade, Taxi & unusual risks that others find hard to underwrite. Each risk is bespoke to the customers needs. A rare commodity in today’s take it or leave it approach.
Tradex’s associate company Clegg Gifford Lloyds Brokers and its subsidiary company, Clegg Gifford Private Clients also offer the opportunity of placing worldwide risks and Mortages/Loans.
Tradex & Westminster
Tradex Insurance acquired the Westminster Motor book of business in May 2008.
Both companies have a significant share of the Public and Private Hire market. The acquisition and merging of both accounts puts Tradex and Westminster into the lead position of London Black Cab Insurers.
